a) Quantitative analysis of gene expression in samples obtained from cell lysates of different numbers of 697 cells. PCRI: cDNA obtained by direct reverse transcription from lysates of 2,500; 1,500; 500 and 50 cells. b) Quantitative analysis of gene expression in samples obtained from reverse transcription of total RNA isolate (■ cDNA) and from cell lysates (□ PCRI) of 697 cells. Relative expression was presented as ΔCt value normalised with HPRT gene expression. ΔCt value of 10 means that there was no amplification. The results presented were obtained from three different experiments and shown as mean ± SD. Differences between the means was not statistically significant (p > 0.05). cDNA: cDNA obtained from RNA isolated from 2 × 106 cells; PCR I: cDNA obtained by direct reverse transcription of lysate from 500 cells
